Crafnant - Gwynfryn Farm

Description

Gwynfryn Farm is a family run organic dairy farm that houses a number of holiday properties created from the original farm buildings that date back to 1821. Crafnant, named after on of the many lakes in Snowdonia, is a lovely, end terrace, two storey cottage that sleeps four. With exposed beams throughout, Crafnant is a little 'topsy turvey', with a lounge area upstairs to enjoy the views over Llanbedrog Bay. The lounge also features a TV, video and CD player. Upstairs is also a twin bedded room and a full bathroom with a shower above the bath. Downstairs is suitable for those with limited mobility as there is a double bedroom with king size bed and a walk in shower. The modern kitchen is well equipped with all conveniences including a dishwasher. A comfortable dining/lounge area allows for family meals or a hearty breakfast before heading out for a day of fun. Gwynfryn Farm has something for everyone, from the indoor, heated swimming pool to helping to feed the animals on the farm. As well as the swimming pool, there is a fitness room, sauna and jacuzzi, LTA tennis court, a football pitch and inside play area for the under 5's. A large games room houses a pool table, table tennis, air hockey, table football and a 58" TV. With so much to keep you occupied on the farm, it may be difficult to tear yourself away, but this area of Wales has some wonderful activities right on the doorstep. Pwllheli is only 1.5 miles away and is the main town of the Lleyn Peninsular. It has a popular market on Wednesdays and Sundays in the main square. The town is full of character with its narrow streets which have many independent shops, boutiques, traditional pubs, cafes and restaurants, as well as award-winning fish and chips, traditional Welsh ice-cream and seaside rock. The 50 miles of Hertiage coastline have been designated an Area of Outstanding National Beauty. Pwllheli's beaches are mainly south facing and have been awarded the prestigious European Blue Flag Award. Glan y Mor beach is sandy and sheltered near the marina. South beach is mainly shingle and pebble and stretches the length of the attractive promenade with a play area and skate park nearby. Spend the day walking the many miles of coastal walks, watch seals basking on the rocks, visit Pwllheli's Marina, play golf at one of the many courses close by, spend the day walking in Snowdonia National Park or visit the iron-age hill fort. Portmadog is just 13 miles from Pwllheli and Caernafon is just 21 miles away. With its charming houses and breathtaking views Portmeirion is about a 30 minute drive from Gwynfryn Farm. Having spent a busy day exploring all that this charming part of Wales has to offer, return to Crafnant and Gwynfryn Farm for a glass of wine or a visit to the games room to round off a lovely day. Another cottage which is not on the Gwynfryn Farm site is available for holiday lets, please view the website for more details.
